A western Kansas kid from the start, Kyle grew up in Leoti, Kansas and returned to western Kansas following his graduation from Wichita State University. Kyle and his wife Shirley served at High Plains Baptist Church in Sharon Springs before being called to Scott City in 2007. Kyle and Shirley have two sons: Isaac, a college student, and Josiah, an SCHS student.
Kyle, Shirley, and their boys enjoy riding four-wheelers, cheering on the Broncos, being outdoors, and are always willing and ready to serve the next person God places in their path.
Bob and his wife Linda, both graduates of William Jewel College, are originally from the Kansas City area. Bob takes care of all things musical and technical for Sunday worship as well as coordinating a very active Senior Adult Ministry at FBC. Bob and Linda have two children: Parker, and his wife Hannah, who are in ministry in Denver, Colorado and Leah who is a student at Emporia State University.
In his free time, Bob enjoys spending time repairing instruments, working on cars, and gardening.
It is Bob’s goal to encourage people to connect with God through worship as a community.
Suzanne was born and raised in Scott City, went to K-State, married her high school sweetheart and returned home to be a rancher’s wife. She and her husband, Chad, have four kids: Brinlee, a graduate of OSU who now has a big girl job in Scott City; Maris, a graduate of K-State and her husband, Justin Unruh, a grad student at K-State; Cooper, a student at FHSU; and Gui, an eighth grader. She enjoys the outdoors and everything her kids are involved in.
Suzanne keeps the FBC office organized and does so much more than answer the phone, greet people coming in the office and the bulletin. She can be found throughout the church doing whatever needs to be done.
A Speech Pathologist by trade, Deidra graduated from Wichita State University and moved to Scott City when she married her farmer. Brent and Deidra have two children: Carson, a college student, and Lanae, a student at SCHS.
Deidra’s love for details keeps FBC staff organized and on task. She can also be referred to as the “Chaos Coordinator.” She has a heart for women’s ministry and organizes a ladies retreats each year in Colorado where women can rest, relax, and spend time in God’s word.
When not paying attention to detail at FBC, she enjoys reading, traveling, and lake time with her family.
A lifelong member of FBC and native of Scott City, Tracy returned home after graduating from Wichita State University and two years working for Arthur Anderson in Kansas City to marry Mike, also a Scott City native. Mike and Tracy have three children: Emily and her husband, Andrew, currently serving FBC in an interim position; Tyler, a grad student at KU; and Bo, a student at KU.
When not bookkeeping for FBC or the family paving business, Tracy enjoys KU basketball, KC Chiefs football, and being with her family.
Tracy has a huge heart to help people and for them to know the love of Jesus.
The newest member of the FBC ministry team, Liz is a real western Kansas girl from Weskan, KS. Following graduation from Kansas State University with a degree in Financial Planning, Liz moved to Scott City with her husband, Myles. With missions at her core, she desires to share her passion for Christ and His unfailing love with those around her. Liz loves to learn; she is a pilot and recently became a Certified Flight Instructor. Liz and Myles have 2 boys; Breven, a student at SCMS, Gavin, a student at SCES.
